Marketing & Communication Manager

The role

The Marketing & Communication Manager is responsible for the Marketing strategy within the Commercial and Public domain and industries. You are responsible for creating the right environment and executing the right activities to create brand awareness and lead generation. In this role, we expect from the Marketing Manager to demonstrate a high knowledge level on both marketing strategy execution and SoftwareONE business and portfolio.

Responsibilities :

Responsible for leading the marketing team of marketing specialists that will support executing the marketing campaigns end-to-end

Collaboration with department leads to decide on marketing strategy and activities and plan accordingly

Collaboration with vendors and partners like Microsoft and IBM for setting up, implementing, managing and tracking/reporting numerous campaigns

Setting-up the right team environment to execute marketing tasks and support Sales to drive business

Create a yearly marketing plan to execute in collaboration with department leads from sales, multi-vendor and services

Tracking execution against targets for contact acquisition, engagement and opportunity creation

Analyzing campaign performance and ROI to identify gaps and opportunities for optimization

Ensuring up to date reporting and dashboarding and the correct use of tooling around marketing activities

Creates and maintains appropriate organization structure to properly manage and ensure that marketing performance is supporting the sales organization and company goals

Responsible for developing the external communication strategy in line with the marketing activities

Using data and insights to inform and define content and digital marketing strategies across multiple channels

Build and develop marketing campaigns to create awareness for different industry groups & cross service lines of SoftwareONE

Leverage media vehicles that would build the image for SoftwareONE

Create focused demand generation programs and also create marketing outreach initiatives that target specific client opportunities as integrated marketing campaigns

Ability to work with cross-functional teams and liaising with global teams to drive local campaigns

Reporting progress to Sales leadership on a bi-weekly basis

What we need to see from you

Minimum 10 years’ marketing related work experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role and a minimum of 3 years in an IT environment

Extensive knowledge of and network in the Dutch IT sector

A good understanding of Marketing & Communications

Solid education, HBO+ related to Marketing & Communications

Ability to hire, mentor, manage and ensure performance of a team

Being an example, motivator and a trusted colleague for the employees

Ability to represent the company towards customers and vendors

Experience with external communications and preferred experience in internal communications

Innovative and communicative

Willingness to travel within the country and from time to time internationally (20%)

Superior negotiation skills with customers and vendors

Ability to manage multiple priorities in this fast-paced environment

Strong structural work methods, multitasking and time management skills

Fluent in both Dutch and English, verbally and in written

Understanding of budget management and financial reporting

Ability to think out of the box

Experience with CRM (365 Dynamics) and Marketo preferred
